D-Day 65 years later

I want to thank the U.S., British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Free French, Norwegian, and Polish troops who came ashore on Utah, Omaha, Gold, Sword, and Juno Beaches. I also want to thank the brave paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne, 101st Airborne, British 6th Airborne Division, 3rd and 5th Parachute Brigades, and 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion.

I want to thank the members of the RAF, and USAAC who destroyed the Luftwaffe and any target which looked dangerous.

I want to thank my United States Navy, United States Coast Guard, Royal Navy, Royal Canadian Navy, Free French Navy, Dutch Navy, and Polish Navy for providing naval gunfire for the troops fighting their way ashore.

I am thinking of my neighbor Frank who served aboard the USS Augusta at D-Day and watched the action at Omaha Beach through his big eyes and dedicated his life to military telecommunications to help the guys ashore talk to the ships and aircraft supporting them. I also thinking of my father's old boss and friend Vince who was a U.S. Coast Guard beachmaster at Omaha Beach providing first aid to the troops ashore.

All gave some, and some gave all. Support the Troops!!

Tiananmen Square - 20 years later

Twenty years ago, 04JUN1989, I watched with horror on CBS News, the People's Liberation Army attacking peaceful students demanding democracy. From that day forward, I have thought of that government as the "Butchers of Beijing".

As always, on this anniversary, I think of the innocent victims who were killed in their prime by a facist Army who coldly killed unarmed, peaceful students by the hundreds and thousands. I also think of my friend Jenny, who was a classmate of mine in college and became a dear friend and confidant. I will always regret losing touch with her, and I hope she is doing well and his happy. Jenny, if you're reading this, please contact me.

U.S.A.A.C Veterans visit their old base in the UK

This is a touching story about some U.S. Army Air Corps Veterans who visited their old base in England. They took off from this base to support the D-Day landings in France.

Please remember to thank a member of the Greatest Generation. I miss two of my neighbors who have passed away, one was at D-Day aboard a cruiser and watched D-Day through the big eye binoculars. Another was a Marine divebomber pilot. Both are sorely missed. My cousin, Peanut, who passed away in '95, was an Army medic and earned the Bronze Star and Purple Heart in Southern France by rescuing a member of his squad who stepped on a mine. Peanut was hurt by shrapnel from a mine he stepped on.

ACLU is working with police departments to stop harassment of photographers

For the first time in memory, I am agreeing with something the ACLU is doing. They're working with local PDs to stop LEO harassment of photographers.

Osama Obama wants to charge servicemembers for treating service related injuries

As if anyone needed any proof that Osama Obama and the radical communist elements within Moron.org and the DNC Osama Obama and his lapdog Secretary of Veteran's Affairs, General Shinseki (ret) came up with this brilliant idea of charging our soldiers who have suffered terrible injuries for their care.

This violates a time honored convenant the U.S. Government has had with her defenders. Osama Obama is looking at OUR injured hereoes as a revenue stream. This communist asshole wants to give free healthcare for illegal aliens (read CRIMINALS) yet wants to charge our troops for their medical needs!!!

I am angrier beyond words at this. The current occupant of the White House, Usurper Supereme has done nothing but drop the ball at every opportunity since he arrived in the White House. He makes Jimmah Carter look competent, and I thought that was impossible.

Barry Soerto has proven himself to be against the American military and the American way of life.

Michael Steele wins RNC Chairmanship

I am quite happy that Michael Steele is now the chairman of the RNC. Maybe under his leadership and guidance the RNC can return to its conservative roots. I first learned of him in 2006 when he ran for Senate in Maryland and unfortunately lost.

The RNC will have to prove to me it has changed before they see one nickle out of me. I am still angry at how the Conservatives have been treated and I am still clinging to my guns and Constitution.

Shuttle Challenger Tragedy - 23 years later

I was a freshman in highschool listening to the launch on my walkman in study hall. I and my classmates were in a state of shock. That night, I watched President Reagan's speech and tears freely flowed.
